Most home schoolers are Christians and all they know to do is fearmonger. Just look at this as an example!

I always feel like I'm between a rock and hard place when it comes to fundamentalists. I grew up as one, and the only reason they didn't homeschool us was because my father believed in the public school system... he taught in one. On one side, I see them as people who are unfortunately misaligned and have a great deal of empathy, sympathy, and pity for them. I was one. They Are crazy. But on the other hand, it makes me so mad how deep the brainwashing goes, how far from logical thinking they are that I totally lose my patience with them. I will say... they need help... some more than others... and I KNOW that the angrier and more horrified the "outside" world becomes with them, the more vindicated and stubborn they become. It's all part of god's plan.

I search for ways to educate and encourage.... and make light of the situation. Otherwise I would deprive myself of my own sanity and the health of my body.

Help them get out. There are thousands of fundies who need nonjudgmental and compassionate people. It is very very very hard to leave that belief system behind.
